In addition to illegal fireworks, the intervention police handled other crimes. Six people have been administratively detained for disturbing public order or public drunkenness. Two people were briefly handcuffed, but ultimately not transferred to the cell complex. One of the latter received a very last warning to leave the entertainment district.
Shortly before 10 p.m., the police received a report of a vehicle that had collided with a sign on Ringlaan in the direction of the Kennedy roundabout. Police arrived on scene and found a 54-year-old father and his 25-year-old son in the vehicle. The father tested positive and had to be locked up to sober up. Just before the arrival of the police services, he had switched places with the passenger and turned out to be the driver. The necessary official reports have been drawn up.
