A 31-year-old man from Oss was arrested on Monday for setting fire to a van on Kloosterstraat in Berkel-Enschot. The police announced this on Tuesday morning. The arson took place on Friday evening around a quarter to twelve.
The police tracked down the suspect thanks to camera images and statements from witnesses. He was arrested in a shopping center in Den Bosch.
The camera images clearly showed that the perpetrator walked up to the van, sprayed it with a liquid and lit it. Three other parked cars were barely saved from the sea of flames.
