David Avanesjan won Oskari Metzin with a technical knockout in the intermediate European Championship title match in London. Matsi already finished in the opening round.

The Russian dropped Metz on the canvas with one minute and 24 seconds left in the first set. The Finn still got up, but in practice the match was over.

In the end, the referee whistled across the game with 48 seconds left in the opening round.

– Now it’s quite a mess, Viaplay’s narrator Jani Rajalin stated about the milling.

However, the Finn did not lack courage – on the contrary. It was perhaps too much.

– Went to challenge a little too hard right away, but that’s the way it is, Edis Tatli commented on Viaplay.

Metz, 30, who is studying Japanese at the University of Helsinki, did not start boxing until 2016. The loss was the man’s first career career.

Metz has now played 16 times with a balance of 15-1. Five of the wins have come before full time.
