Palace had still taken the lead through a converted penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta. Zirkzee’s equalizer came in the 56th minute. The Dutchman took the ball with his chest after a free kick from Bruno Fernandes and shot with his left foot. Nine minutes later, Mount decided the game. As usual, Matthijs de Ligt had a starting place at United.
Leader Arsenal plays a draw against ten of Chelsea
Arsenal have lost points in the away match against Chelsea. The leader played football for more than half with one more player, but was stuck at a draw (1-1).
Arsenal continues to lead the Premier League, with a 5-point lead over Manchester City, which beat Leeds United (3-2) on Saturday. Chelsea played with one man less from the 38th minute. Moises Caicedo received a red card for a hard foul on Mikel Merino. Still, the home team took the lead. Trevoh Chalobah headed home in the 48th minute. Arsenal leveled in the 59th minute through a goal from Merino.
Jurriën Timber had a starting place at Arsenal. Jorrel Hato was missing from Chelsea’s selection.
