Oscars 2022: Beyoncé and Billie Eilish will perform at the awards ceremony

Academy Awards 2022 Best Song nominees Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Reba McEntire and Sebastián Yatra will also perform their songs at the awards ceremony, scheduled for March 27 at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.

Beyoncé will perform the song “Be Alive” from the movie King Richard, which she co-wrote with Dixson. The film itself is nominated for five other awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor. Rumors surfaced earlier this week that Beyoncé was planning a surprise appearance at the awards ceremony. Now it has been officially announced.

Eilish and Finneas will perform the title track of the recent Bond film No Time To Die, which is also nominated for Best Visual Effects, among others. This is the first time that Eilish and Beyoncé have been nominated for Best Song.

Sebastián Yatra will perform “Dos Oruguitas” from the animated film “Encanto”. Lin-Manuel Miranda is nominated for the song. Composer Germaine Franco is nominated for Best Original Score for the film, while the film itself has hopes for the Best Animated Feature Film award.

Reba McEntire will then perform “Four Good Days,” written by Diane Warren, who has been nominated for the 13th time but has never won.

Van Morrison is also nominated for his track “Down To Joy,” which he composed for the film “Belfast.” Morrison is the only one of the nominees who will not be able to perform his song live as he is currently on tour and therefore cannot be present at the awards ceremony.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Travis Barker, Sheila E. and Robert Glasper will perform as part of an all-star band alongside music director Adam Blackstone at this year’s awards ceremony. D-Nice and vocal group The Samples will also perform during the ceremony.

The nominations for this year’s Oscars were announced last month. Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog leads with twelve nominations, followed by Dune, which is nominated in ten categories.
