The German outdoor outfitter Ortovox has promoted Lisa Sinnegger to Head of Design Apparel & Backpacks.

According to a statement from the mountain sports specialist, Sinnegger has been working as a senior designer in the company for six years after career positions at the Oberalp Group and La Sportiva. “As a design lead, she had a decisive influence on the new freeride collection.” This is “an expression of the new design language at Ortovox”.

Sinnegger explained the innovations: “With our new design language, we are consistently keeping up with the spirit of the times – without losing our roots,” she explained in a statement. “Change is what drives us and is part of our progress.”

The new collection is “a conscious, courageous step forward – but it is also an expression of an evolution, not a revolution,” she emphasized. “We have retained established design elements and stylistic devices, but reweighted and developed them further.”

Stefan Kohlbauer, who has led Ortovox Sportartikel GmbH as CEO since spring, emphasized that the current aesthetic has already found popularity. “The new design language was very positively received,” he explained. “Our retail partners and customers experience the collection as authentic, clear and independent – as a step that preserves the Ortovox brand core and at the same time takes it into the future.”
