Dialogues in the garden, the schedule of appointments
Among the news there is certainly “Dialogues in the garden”, a new schedule of debates and presentations with international guests, institutional personalities and botanical experts. The first appointment will be the meeting dedicated to “Eco-sustainability between Milan and London” Thursday 5 May at 5 pm.
Friday 6 May at 11Filippo Pizzoni, together with Michael Marriott, one of the most important rhodologists in the world, also known as a designer of rose gardens and for his cultivation criteria, and Paolo Pozzo, owner of the homonymous nursery, will lead to the discovery of “The English roses, born from the inspiration of one of the greatest European hybridizers, David Austin”.

A special peony for Orticola’s 25th anniversary
And to celebrate these “magical” 25 years, in the exhibition will be presented for the first time Paeonia “Orticola Milano”, created by Roberto Gamoletti, author of ‘Orticola Milano’ who has been dealing with the hybridization of peonies at an amateur level for 25 years.
His passion for creating new varieties of peony with controlled pollination has been enriched over the years by exchanging experiences and materials with well-known North American and European hybridizers.
The new nurserymen of Orticola
In addition to the historical nurserymen, those who have been present at the exhibition for 25 years, Orticola, this year, also presents a group of new ones. Young people, start-ups, family heirsselected because they directly produce or recover and reproduce ancient plants already present in the area, they favor organic methods or cultivation methods aimed at reducing the environmental impact, for example with biodegradable and reusable pots.

Also this year, Orticola, thanks to the discoveries and the work of its nurserymen, can present some of the most particular and special plants and flowers that can be found, managing to amaze again.
