“Organizers send me for a booking, but first ask if I want to go on a date”: Flemish techno DJs about misconduct in the dance world

“There are a lot of bad people in the dance world. People who are narcissistic. I am not surprised that some of those types take advantage of people.” Lore Severi (28), alias DJ Luna Lucci, is one of the DJs responding to allegations of sexual misconduct, intimidation and abuse of power in the techno world. This is how she, together with her fellow DJs, looks at their world and what goes on in it. “If you become known as a DJ, you will certainly receive a lot of attention. I also had sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll times.”
