Only for Wessel Nijman things went wrong in the eighth finals. He lost the Dutch match against Wattimena 6-2.

Before that, Noppert and Van Veen had settled with the Welsh enclave. Noppert had quite a bit of trouble with Gerwyn Price (6-5), while Van Veen rolled over Jonny Clayton.
The last Dutchman to qualify was Van Duijvenbode against the home-playing Martin Schindler. The German seemed to bring Aubergenius, who had had a fabulous weekend so far, to his knees, but still let him escape: 6-5.
