In the last lesson before the test on landscapes, the students of class 2H tried to connect the dots. The creation of sandbanks and dunes, where that sand actually comes from and why it remains here, all kinds of questions were raised. The students then started working on the exercises from the book themselves. While walking by, I looked at a student’s notebook and saw that an important difference between a delta and an estuary, such as the Western Scheldt, was well understood: the operation of app and tide.
