It is 2002. The Netherlands has just adopted the Euro and Pim Fortuyn wants to become the new Prime Minister. “The Netherlands is full,” says my daughter. As I turn to her I think about my reaction to her comment. Then I see that she is holding the Eurocollector, a cardboard collection folder for the Euro coins of every brand new Euro country. And indeed, from cents to 2 Euro coins, the Netherlands is complete.
