After many years, a somewhat older friend is still interested in taking his first digital steps. I immediately invited him and after some explanation I leave it free on my netbook. He starts to ram enthusiastically on the keyboard as if it were his old, trusted typewriter.
“Ho, ho,” I shout, “not so loud.”
“Oh yes,” he apologizes, “I forget it is software.”
