With our youngest grandson Wouter (3) we walk through the village to our house. In addition, we pass a nursing home. Suddenly Wouter says: “Shall we go and see Omi? We have not been there for a long time.” Omi, my mother, died last year at the age of 93. My wife says stunned: “But Wouter, Omi has died and no longer lives here. She is now … in heaven.”
Wouter stops. He is a thinker. I see the cogs turning in his head. Then he says, “Shall we go and see her there?”
