My father has dementia but has not lost his sense of humor. Tears of laughter flow over his cheeks when I report him about the conversation that my wife and I had with our children about his illness. When asked the kids if they might know that grandpa is coming his forgetfulness due to an illness, our 10 year old son immediately shouts: “Yes, I saw at Klokhuis. That is due to Oldtimer’s disease. ”
