Getting to know the environment
The open day attracted several hundred visitors. They also include teachers from schools where children from the reception center attend classes. “We teach children who live here. It is fantastic to see them working in their home environment,” says Wendy De Decker of Blink primary school in Staden.
Other visitors also appreciate the introduction. “You can better frame how they live,” says Sofie Lowagie. “It is a great added value to also get to know their cultures,” adds Laure Vansevenant.
