“It’s a piece of your life,” says Onno Drent. Euphemistically expressed, because there are few people in the province of Groningen who have been chairman of an association for no less than 56 years. After the annual performances of theater association De Vriendenkring on 7 and 14 February next year, De Scheemder will resign the chairman’s hammer.
