The wait is over, only three days left: From June 10th to 12th, ABOUT YOU and CRO will transform the Croatian private island of Obonjan into a unique SMILES ISLAND. The new high Summer Pieces by SMILES are being launched with chilled vibes and numerous outdoor activities to coincide with the start of the summer. Live: numerous VIPs and well-known content creators. In addition, for the first time 500 fans can be there live at an ABOUT YOU x Concert – the tickets were completely sold out within a few hours.
For one weekend, fans and friends are invited on a journey into the music and fashion world of CRO and can experience the feeling of SMILES up close in the SMILES Area, a specially designed area that is completely dedicated to the brand. At the same time, the area creates a skilful connection between chill-out zone, experience and shop – so the guests can immerse themselves directly in the retro style of the new pieces. The highlight of SMILES ISLAND is the exclusive ABOUT YOU Concert in the island’s amphitheater, accompanied by numerous special and secret acts. The highlight is the presentation of the new summer collection during the concert.
As with the first joint collection, the focus of the newly launched summer collection is on unusual design pieces with elaborate and never-before-seen prints. Once again, CRO incorporated his own drafts into the designs, thus ensuring even more unique patterns. The basic idea for the collection and the inspiration also came from CRO himself: “In the back of my mind right from the start, I had a high summer collection in the ‘Miami Nice Style’. For me, this is a collection with retro influences, ideal for pool parties with friends, hanging out in the sunshine with easy-going music and a relaxed summer vibe,” says CRO of his first summer collection.
The collection will be launched in several drops. The 56 styles in total offer silky sets and a new edition of the fluffy bathrobe, which is also available in the summery version of a kimono. In addition, purely female pieces such as mini pleated skirts, silky strap dresses and crop tops have been integrated for the first time for the new season. The design element ‘Smiles Davis’, drawn by CRO himself, should not be missing this time either and can also be found on selected pieces as a so-called ‘trippy SMILES’ pattern. In addition to a light linen suit, suitable for the hot season, the collection again offers stylish accessories, eye-catching pieces with a tiger pattern and polos made of terry cloth and elaborate jacquard. An additional highlight is the swimwear for the perfect pool look: swimming trunks for the boys and bikinis with a golden SMILES buckle as an eye-catcher for the girls. Available from drop two, which launches in July.
All 19 styles of the first drop will be available exclusively from ABOUT YOU from June 11, 2022 in sizes S-XXL and XS-XL. The styles cost between EUR 19.90 and EUR 129.90. The next drops will follow in the high summer months of July and August. Fans who can hardly wait can register in advance and will receive a notification in time for the launch of the second drop.
