In total, a damage amount of 36 million euros was requested. Just over half of all files are eligible for an allowance. In six in ten approved files, the allowance has also been effectively paid: it is a little more than 1.8 million, so about five percent of the originally requested amount.
Not all files have therefore been approved. That is because only the damage caused by watercourses that fall outside their banks were eligible. Not the damage of abundant rain. On average, victims were paid 5,540 euros, and that is usually less than they asked.
