At least 174 people have been killed in a stampede after a football match between two arch-rivals in the Indonesian city of Malang. This was announced by the deputy governor of the province of East Java, Emil Dardak. Supporters had stormed the field after the final whistle, after which the police fired tear gas. According to the authorities, about 180 people are being treated in hospitals. It is one of the worst stadium disasters in the world ever.
