Victor Vlam, expert on Today Inside, is very strict for the men of the talk show on SBS 6. He thinks that yesterday’s broadcast was one of the worst ever. “This is a nuclear disaster.”
41-year-old Victor Vlam gives the men of Today Inside a very firm slap on the fingers. The TV critic, who has not been invited to the program for quite some time, believes that Wilfred Genee, René van der Gijp and Johan Derksen failed with yesterday’s broadcast. He sat on the couch at home and couldn’t believe his eyes.
Nuclear disaster
It was just really terrible, Victor writes X. “Just before the winter break, Today Inside has one of the worst broadcasts ever. Low energy level. Boring. Bad line-up: Arend-Jan Boekestijn and Renske Leijten are too much the same types). This is a nuclear disaster from A to Z.”
He continues: “To make matters worse, there was an awkward moment when Renske Leijten seriously assumed that Raymond was a Trump fan (instead of a journalistic interpreter). Maybe she should watch the program.”
Small conflict
VI briefly contacted American expert Raymond Mens, who is accused by critics of condoning Donald Trump’s behavior too much. He himself states that he reports neutrally and leaves the choice to the viewer. However, Renske thought that it was common knowledge that Raymond was pro-Trump and therefore addressed him as such.
Victor thinks Renske went too far with that. “Aren’t you exaggerating a bit now, Victor? There are worse things,” says journalist Ton F. van Dijk in response to Victor’s messages.
Not literally
No, says Victor. He thinks it was really bad TV. “It was really that bad.”
Ton: “A nuclear disaster?”
Victor: “Not all communication is literal, Ton.”
Ton finally: “No, then you were now live on CNN 😂.”
