A car of the Local Police has run over three pedestrians this morning on Paseo Sagrera in Palma. One of the victims, aged 36, has died and the other two are in serious condition. The Police have opened an investigation to try to clarify the causes of the accident.

The events occurred around half past twelve in the morning this Thursday, when a vehicle of the Local Police, acting urgently, ran over three people on the Paseo Sagrera, at the height of the Consolat de Mar. They immediately moved to the effective place of 061 to help the victims.

The toilets have verified that two of the three injured, a 36-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, were in a very serious condition so, after stabilizing them, they have been transferred to Son Espases. Despite the efforts of doctors, the man has not been able to overcome the significant injuries sustained in the accident and has died in hospital.

The third victim, a 25-year-old man, has been transferred to the Juaneda Clinic.

From the Local Police they have expressed their “sincere” condolences to the family of the deceased and have transferred their support to family and friends. They have also lamented and have transferred their support to relatives and friends of the two people injured as a result of the accident.
