Just as in 2015, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024, the non-profit organization Horizon will also receive asylum seekers this winter. This time it concerns 313 people. The shelter lasts until mid-March, after which people have to leave because the center will no longer be available.
Mayor Steve Vandenberghe: “After previous experiences in recent years, we as the municipal council are once again convinced that Fedasil will organize this shelter properly and in consultation with the non-profit organization Horizon, which makes the buildings available. Together with the local police zone, we will closely monitor everything.”
