Elbphilharmonie, setting sun and hammering bass – an evening that is remembered.

Yesterday evening the MS Koi became a floating club, with Moonbootica on deck. The DJ duo put an energetic set in front of the impressive backdrop of the Hamburg harbor: the “Most Hamburg Set Ever.” The 500 exclusive guests danced until late at night, accompanied by the panorama of the most beautiful city in the world.

“When hanging up, it is about reading the room, feeling the vibe and going on a trip with the audience,” explain the two DJs in the interview shortly before. The MS Koi, with three decks and plenty of space, was the ideal means of transport for the floating afterhour.

A short rain shower before admission, then it stayed dry. Boarding at the Fischauktionshalle began around 6 p.m. Almost an hour and a half later, Kowesix and Tobitob Aka Moonbootica took over the musical tax.

With a driving mix of classics and fresh productions, they brought the deck to shake. “Just playing new, mediocre stuff does nothing if it is not good,” said Tobitob, part of Moonbootica. “Tonight we have ten brand new and 2000 old tracks with us.”

Moonbootica: “We don’t make emo music”

Above all, one feeling is crucial: “We do not make emo music. Pain and anger have no place with us. We are responsible for euphoria.” In addition to thrilling sound, there was drinks and pizza, an overall package that made the evening a early autumn highlight in the north. The route could hardly have been more Hanseatic: from HafenCity to Övelgönne.

Many will remember the moment when the ship drove past the Elbphilharmonie in the setting sun and the bass Beat hammered. For a moment it felt like the summer had never ended. Ibizafeel in the middle of Hamburg. And pure euphoria in the air.

Around 10:45 p.m., the MS Koi put on the harbor again. But hardly anyone thought of quitting. Some guests simply continued.
