The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has demanded prison sentences for up to 5 years against four suspects for involvement in a drug lab in Kiel-Windeweer and the dumping of drug waste in Roden and Norg. According to the OM, the 71-year-old main suspect has hidden a body on his terrain.

The drug lab in Kiel-Windeweer was discovered on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in two sea containers and a barn, after an anonymous report to the police. The OM spoke of a very large and professional drug lab. According to the OM, a yield of more than a million euros could be produced in the lab.

The 71-year-old owner of the land and main suspect in the case was arrested. Just like his 68-year-old woman. The OM continues her for money laundering of more than 37,000 euros, her husband is also charged.

A day later, the remains of the 38-year-old Tess Abels from Roermond was found on the site. The 71-year-old man’s lost is also charged.

The battered body of the Limburger, which, according to the OM, would have produced drugs in the lab, was found in a well at the home of the main suspect. Drug waste was also in the well. Because the body was heavily affected, no clear cause of death was established.

However, the pathologist who investigated the body states that there was amphetamine poisoning. This can, among other things, lead to heart rhythm disorders, increased blood pressure and organ failure. The research excludes that the man was killed by electrocution or violence. The section would show that the man had died for some time, one to several weeks.

In his last message to his girlfriend, Abels said he felt very bad and could not stop vomiting. He did not know if he would get the end of his work period, after which he would be paid. “I can’t do it anymore.”

A 29-year-old co-suspect, who is being prosecuted for producing the drugs, was found in a meadow on July 23 with injuries and in confused state. He would have called: “I didn’t do anything” against the police. He was not at the session. The police could not keep him afterwards. He would have fled to Turkey.

The case would actually occur in April, but then it became clear that the relatives of Abels had been in contact with the main suspect. At the request of the OM, the case was postponed to conduct further investigation.

It became clear that the relatives had visited the 71-year-old man on Christmas Eve 2023. According to them, he told Abels to have found dead on the floor and that he could no longer have got this image from his retina.

According to the man that is not correct. In his own words, he would have been on vacation in the period of the death of Abels. He would also have nothing to do with the drug lab on his site.

He would have rented the site and at a certain point discovered that something was wrong. He discovered a chemical liquid on his site and several men would have walked around. “I sent it away,” said the suspect. He recognized Abels and a 29-year-old fellow suspect afterwards as those men.

He would then have closed the sea containers on his site and cut the gas hose away. However, investigation by the police shows that drugs were still produced on the site.

A 68-year-old fellow suspect stated that the drug lab was the 71-year-old. He himself would have carried out ‘hand and span services’ on the site, but would not be involved in the production of drugs. “I knew it was wrong there.”

The OM also states that the 71-year-old main suspect had a greater role than he prevents. He would be involved in the structure and support of the lab, the handling of drugs and dumping drug waste. That he knew nothing, the OM considers ‘very unbelievable’ and ‘demonstrably lying.’ The site was “one big place offense.”

The 68-year-old suspect has a smaller role and is seen as an accomplice. At the request of the main suspect, he would have transported the chefs and dumped drug waste together with him in Norg and Roden.

In addition, according to the OM, it cannot be otherwise than that the main suspect, possibly with someone else, has put the body of Abels in the well. “Not many people came on the ground,” said the public prosecutor. “There was a big fence around it and Mr. was in charge. If there was a death on his site, he knew that. ” According to the OM, he also had a great importance to prevent the drug lab from being discovered in this way.

The OM called the fact “morally reprehensible, disrespectful and degrading.” The officer also blamed the main suspect for taking the relatives of Abels the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones in a normal way. The OM also states that he knows more about the death of Abels than he has indicated. “He keeps the relatives unnecessarily in ignorance and I am very incorporated to that process attitude.”

He demanded the highest punishment for all facts: 5 years in prison. According to the OM, his wife has to perform a 240 -hour work sentence for money laundering.
For the 68-year-old fellow suspect, 30 months in prison was demanded, 10 of which were conditional. According to the OM, the 29-year-old fugitive suspect, who would have produced amphetamine in the lab, should serve the OM of 18 months.

The lawyers speak on Wednesday.
