The OM demands two hundred hours of community service against tax specialist and legal adviser Karim Aachboun for blackmailing TV presenter Johnny de Mol, for forgery and for expression crimes against victim lawyer Sébas Diekstra. In addition, the public prosecutor demands a conditional prison sentence with a probationary period of three years, due to the risk of recurrence of incorrect expressions. That turned out Tuesday in the Amsterdam District Court.
Johnny de Mol received a bailiff’s letter in September 2020, also addressed to his mother and father, singer Willeke Alberti and media entrepreneur John de Mol. In it, Aachboun and his partner Ad A. sent on an allowance for Johnny’s ex-wife, whose interests represented the duo at the time. She accused the Mol of having abused her during their marriage, which denies the presenter.
Aachboun’s lawyer stated on Tuesday that the Mols was former wealthy of the letter. The tax specialist and legal adviser has always denied that Chantage was the goal. According to Aachboun, the publicity about the alleged mistreatment of his ex was already inevitable, because at the end of 2020 a book about the De Mol family would appear in which that would also be discussed. “It is the actual text of the letter that must be leading, and there is no money question,” said Aachbouns Counselor.

Karim Aachboun appears as a consultant in many mediagenic matters. Now he is being prosecuted himself. Who is this ‘Rocky van de Zuidas’?
According to the Public Prosecution Service, the letter was “very nasty” prepared “with the message of threat.” The public prosecutor calls this a “classic attempt at blackmail”. It is precisely by quoting the book to be published in the letter that it reads a threat: if the mole did not cross the bridge with money, stressful material would be made public.
Karim Aachboun climbed as a tax specialist at KPMG Meijburg in the last decade under the care of managing partner Ad Aerts, against whom prosecution may be established later. The duo started a tax consultancy office after a break with KPMG, but also assisted clients in other things. For example, Aachboun also advised a foundation that stated Metoo issues in the show business. The Public Prosecution Service found that Aachboun was closely involved in the foundation.
Defense event
From 2022, this foundation spread an accusation to the address of victim lawyer Diekstra. A woman would claim that she was caught in her chest by Diekstra in 2002 at a defense event and made an online police report twenty years later. In police interrogations in the context of the investigation in this defamation case, the woman announced that he no longer knows who would have touched her. She also did not work at Defense, but for a company that organized veteran activities.
A witness who was active at the foundation stated on Tuesday at the hearing that all decisions and actions were implemented by Aachboun. Aachboun has also repeated the accusation ‘with legal lyrics’ lyrics on, among other things, social media, as the Public Prosecution Service blamed him.
Karim Aachboun did not appear on the session. He was also not present last May, with the specified reason for illness. The case was then diluted because there was no representative either. This time his lawyer brought in to Aachboun feels threatened and therefore does not come.
The public prosecutor stated that he does not take any responsibility for his actions. Diekstra has claimed 50,000 euros due to immaterial damage suffered. De Mol waives a claim. Aachbouns defense asks acquittal and states that only reactive and reluctant has been expressed about the police report.
