An application for the 2036 Olympic Games is already unrealistic. But 2040 or 2044… people will continue to dream about it out loud. In Munich, for example, but also in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. German sport has completely different problems at the moment. The DOSB is struggling with a loss of trust and a lack of transparency. And some sports officials are suspected of having conflicts of interest. There are also no clear concepts for a German Olympic application.
