The large headline slot of the 2025 music festival belongs to Olivia Rodrigo. The cheers were enormous – and then, almost exactly at half -time of their set, the pop star surprised the audience with a special guest appearance. Robert Smith, the singer of The Cure, came to her on the stage for a duet.

At first nothing indicated that Rodrigo would deviate from her well -known setlist. But then everything turned out differently than planned. After the tenth song, she announced the surprise: “I am so incredibly excited about the next guest that I can hardly stand it,” said Olivia Rodrigo. And further: “He may be the best songwriter that England has ever produced, a Glastonbury legend and my personal hero.”
And after that, in his typical outfit and with make-up, Robert Smith entered the stage with a black acoustic guitar. Together, the two “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven” performed with tens of enthusiastic spectators: inside.

“Holy shit, these are most people I have ever seen in my whole life,” she said in the middle of the set. And still: “This is a dream that has become true – I actually cannot believe that this is my life.”
