At an oliebollen stall in Rucphen, an explosion was twice at the end of last year. The owner does not understand it, he wants to expand 3000 euros for the golden tip. In Bureau Brabant, the police will show images of the explosions on Monday on December 16 and 21 on the Markt in Rucphen.
Both explosions were probably caused by a fireworks bomb and caused major damage. The two attacks are clearly in the picture, including the man who caused the explosion.
The police do not exclude that two different men have been working. There is at least one agreement: the perpetrator came by bike to the oliebollenkraam, let some explode and then cycled away.
The police naturally want to know who it is, but also: what is the story behind it? That is also what the owner has been doing for half a year. “These two incidents have seized me enormously. I feel so unsafe, why was my stall twice a target?” The man wonders in the investigation program.
“We have been there for eleven years with our stall and are a household name in the village and the surrounding area,” he says. But above all, he makes it clear how important it is for him that the perpetrator or perpetrators are caught. And to perhaps support the police investigation, the Oliebollenbakker makes a reward of three mille available.
Attacker possible injured
The first attack was on December 16, around half past four at night. On images you can see that there is someone on a bike at the stall. Just after that a fire is created and an explosion follows.
The perpetrator is very close and also seems to be hit by the fire. He cycles away through the market. Probably on a ladies’ bike. It is also striking that he has a sports bag with him and that he has white socks. The damage to the oliebollen stall is considerable. A local resident prevents worse by extinguishing quickly.
Five days later, in the evening around half past twelve, the same song. Someone cycles to the stall, stops and soon afterwards an explosion follows. This time it seems that the suspect drives on a men’s bike with a double rod.
