Ukrainian football player Oleh Danchenko is in critical condition after suffering three heart attacks during his team’s training.
Danchenko, 28, who represents AEK Athens in Greece, had a seizure during the team’s training in Turkey. According to the Greek City Times Danchenko was “clinically dead” for a while, but he was successfully revived with the help of a defibrillator.
The player is in intensive care in Turkey.
Danchenko’s life has been full of great sadness in recent years. Just a month before the war of aggression started by Russia, the player’s life experienced a huge tragedy when his wife died in a car accident.
The major Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk reported on Danchenko’s illness on Twitter.
