“After Johnny left, we had three options: appoint an interim trainer from outside, directly contract a trainer for the long term or finish the season with the current technical staff,” says technical manager Ferry de Haan. “We think the latter solution is the best.”
Tobiasen (46) receives assistance from Peter Reekers, Jeffrey Talan and goalkeeper coach Ruud Hesp. The Dane himself played for Heerenveen between 1995 and 1997. He was fired early last year as head coach of Almere City FC, his first job as head coach in professional football.
