An elderly couple was injured in a robbery at a house on Grevenschutweg in the outskirts of Valkenswaard on Sunday night. They were both taken to a hospital, the man on a stretcher. The robbery happened around midnight on Sunday night.
According to the police, two or three robbers entered the house and attacked the residents who were already upstairs. “The couple defended themselves bravely,” a spokesperson said. The robbers eventually ran away. It has not been disclosed whether they have stolen anything.
A window in the house is broken. It is being investigated whether the robbers entered the house as a result.

The police searched the area for the perpetrators, including with a helicopter, but they were not found.
