The old house was in a dilapidated condition. Renovation was not an option, because the construction could not be conformed to current energy standards. By demolishing and rebuilding the house, three residential units can be created: a one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor and two two-bedroom apartments above.
800,000 euros
The reconstruction is scheduled to start before the summer holidays of 2026. The works should be completed and ready for occupancy in the spring of 2027. Zetus is contracting the Blankenberge architectural firm GW2 Architecten and construction contractor Damman for the construction project. The total cost is approximately 800,000 euros.
“With infill projects like these, we achieve a double goal: offering residents affordable housing and at the same time increasing the quality of living in the city center,” said chairman Philip Konings.
