Old Navy chief executive Nancy Green is leaving the company, parent company Gap Inc. announced Thursday. She is leaving the company this week. A successor to Green has not yet been named.
“As we consider the potential of Old Navy, particularly during the current macroeconomic dynamics in our industry, we believe now is the right time to hire a new leader with the operational rigor and creative vision to execute on the brand’s unique positioning,” said Gap CEO Sonia Syngal.
Green has served as Old Navy’s President since August 2019 and has also assumed the role of CEO since October 2020. Prior to that, she was President and CEO of Athleta, another Gap Inc. brand. She also held various positions at Gap.
