Old graves in Keiem moved for new village park

Before the summer there will be a new village park round the church of Keiem. About 250 old graves will be moved. The cemetery has not been used for almost 4 years.

Here and there you will find graves from a distant past in the cemetery around the church of Keiem. Fifty of those graves will be transferred with stone and memorial plaques to the new cemetery. More than 200 mortal remains find rest in a communal burial pit.

Veterans

There are also a few veterans in the old Keiemse cemetery. Their memory will also be preserved, because there will be a sign to commemorate the former combatants.
