In the last few days there is said to have been a rapprochement in talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and former coach Adi Hütter. Now everything could obviously happen very quickly when the coaching question on the Main is clarified.

As the “kicker” reports, there is still no complete agreement between the SGE and the rumored desired coach. There is now confidence on both sides that the final details will soon be clarified.

According to the trade magazine, it is now “unlikely” that the negotiations will fail. The breakthrough could probably even come this weekend. In the best case scenario, Hütter will take up his position in Frankfurt at the beginning of next week, it is said.

It now seems clear that the Austrian fits exactly into the requirements profile of sports director Markus Krösche. The SGE sports director recently indicated a return to old strengths.

Under the new (old) trainer they want to find the right mix of possession football and switching play. Frankfurt’s former counterattacking strength was hardly distinguished last season.

Eintracht Frankfurt is looking for Riera’s successor

Hütter had already successfully coached Eintracht Frankfurt from 2018 to 2021. A highlight of his tenure was reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League. However, in the final phase of the collaboration, disagreements arose.

The reason was his move to Borussia Mönchengladbach, which caused a lot of media excitement. The quarrel of yesteryear should no longer play a role in the current discussions.

Hütter most recently worked in France at AS Monaco. He has been without a club since his release from the Principality last October.

In Frankfurt he would now succeed Albert Riera, with whom Eintracht parted ways at the end of the season after just 14 Bundesliga games.

International business had been missed under the Spaniard. In addition, Riera was repeatedly offended by his appearance.
