Lionel Messi is getting an old acquaintance as coach at his new club Inter Miami: Argentinian Gerardo Martino is taking over the Major League Soccer (MLS) team.
Known as ‘Tata’, Martino had coached Messi at both FC Barcelona (2013-2014) and Argentina national team (2014-2016).
“Tata is a highly respected figure in our sport and his career speaks for itself,” said co-owner David Beckham. “We are confident that his experience will inspire our team and delight the fans.”
