Olcay Gulsen and Katja Schuurman knocked out: ‘Missing the gun factor’

Olcay Gulsen and Katja Schuurman get a big blow from Henny Huisman’s walking stick. The fake TV senior is happy that they have been replaced as the presenter of Beter Laat Dan Nooit.

Beter Laat Dan Nooit, the program in which well-known TV elderly people go on a trip with a younger girl, moves after two seasons from RTL 4 to SBS 6. After Katja Schuurman and Olcay Gulsen, it is now Estavana Polman who takes on the role of tour guide. The new candidate Henny Huisman is delighted with this.

No Olcay and Katja

Henny should not have thought about going on holiday with Katja or Olcay, he confesses in the Weekend. “I think Estavana is by far the best because it is so pure nature. Olcay and Katja play more of a role and do not have all the sympathy. Estavana is ordinary one of the guys.”

Can’t get any better than Estavana, he thinks. “You can just keep talking when she’s there, you don’t have to watch your words. She is of course a sportswoman herself with an ex-professional football player, she is not afraid of swear words. She belongs to the common man.”

Not interesting

Isn’t he a little judgmental of the other ladies? No, says Henry. “I know Katja very well, she started with me with a dance school competition, once broadcast by the KRO. She is a completely different type, is also known for completely different things.”

Olcay ‘just like that’, continues the former TV star. “She made that series with Ruud de Wild and it flopped. And why… Because they weren’t interesting enough. Of course it also has to do with a kind of goodwill factor, and Estavana has that. These women cannot really be compared to each other.”

Sharp Angela

Henny isn’t the only one sneering. Angela de Jong can do that very well. And she is disgusted again that Henny is part of the new season of Beter Laat Dan Nooit.

Henny is good at handing out, but taking nothing less: “If something still needs to be recorded and you already express your opinion, you’re going crazy. That is not her job at all as a TV critic, I call that mood-making.”
