In the MMA scene, Niklas is an exotic. Emigrants, animal rights activists and always inspire for new developments in sport. In Hamburg, the 32-year-old is faced with a big sporting challenge on Saturday.
Niklas proud is a special guy. The German MMA fighter is back in the cage at Oktagon 73 in Hamburg. RTL+ the complete event from the Hamburg Barclays Arena transfers from 5:30 p.m.*.
In addition to martial arts, he is also committed to many other projects. The nickname “Green Mask” was created by one of his former coaches. He still wears the mask with the comparison, but there is now a lot more. As one of the most successful representatives in Germany in the booming sport, he now lives in Cyprus and is actively committed to Wilderer in South Africa.
His latest life change is working with a breathing trainer. This is supposed to ensure an inner peace in the fight, as he interviewed with RTL told. “I am an exotic in the German scene. I have already known myself to many things where others say: I don’t do it that way.”

The breathing techniques are the next. He is pleased that he can show something in general. “Other young fighters may be going up there. You are only an exotic until others understand that it is something good. After that, everyone wants to copy it,” he says.
In his last fight in September 2024 in Oberhausen, Stolze had already had the first coaching. Against Matous Kohout, the Magdeburg -born won confidently and also spectacularly after a step -down knee.
Life-changing steps are a kind of red thread in the vita of the 32-year-old, who will be a father for the first time in August. Sporty was already a proud where many MMA fighters want to go-in the UFC. However, his time at the elite league did not run as planned. Three fights, three defeats, then out.
His first defeat at Oktagon was ultimately the trigger to change something. Moving to Cyprus. “We fulfilled our dream,” says Stolze, who emigrated with wife, mother -in -law and dogs. He wanted a personal change. Living conditions, search for an apartment and climatic conditions would be the decisive factor to take the step.

Proud with “huge heart for animals”
If it is not Cyprus, then it should be South Africa at some point, confesses. He has already started training as a ranger against Wilderer. “I have a huge heart for animals. I have always tried to draw attention to animal welfare with my reach.”
He ended up in South Africa about a friend, where he is about protecting rhinos. “The problem is man -made. It is not because the rhino can no longer survive,” says Stolze. “I want to continue working there and continue the training,” he says.
In terms of sport, however, he still wants to “take the hype in Germany fully” and fight in the largest halls. Around 15,000 people will be there in Hamburg – especially because of Christian Eckerlin in the main fight.
In the case of die -hard fans, proud fight against Jessin Ayari is duel with the potential for the fight of the evening. Ayari was already in the UFC, delivering a spectacular fight in his octagon debut.
“Jessin and I have known each other for quite a while. We have already trained together,” says Stolze with a view of the fight. Ayari is a good boxer and MMA fighter and in the world weight “with the strongest opponent”. A technical “striking festival” promises proud. “A good day for all of MMA Germany,” said the 32-year-old.
