The price for a barrel of the American oil grade West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose above the 80 dollar mark (73.9 euros) on Friday for the first time since November. The reasons are the increased geopolitical risks and the continued production cuts by OPEC, the cartel of oil-producing countries.
