OG and Nigma Galaxy off to a good start to the Dota season

On the first day of the third season of the Western European Dota Pro Circuit League, the major winners OG and Nigma Galaxy started the competition with victories. Gaimin Gladiators lost their first series against newly promoted Entity Gaming.

“Even though we’re all but qualified for the Dota World Championship, our personalities don’t allow us to take it easy,” OG captain Mikhail “Misha” Agatov said in a post-game interview. “I’m already in boot camp, but the rest of the team is still at home resting from the Dota Major’s efforts.” Due to visa issues, Misha provided remote support for his team in winning the Dota Major in Stockholm.

Team Secret and Nigma Galaxy with changes

OG, season three favorites with a fresh Major trophy under their belt, defeated Team Secret in two one-sided games. Just before the start of the season, Secret traded Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and brought in Remco “Crystallis” Arets.

SumaiL, on the other hand, has to play his way up to the first division at Nigma Galaxy. The team of German captain Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi made at least a good first impression with a 2-0 win against Team IVY in the second division.

The first day of play didn’t go so well for Gaimin Gladiators. The fourth-placed Stockholm Major lost 2-0 to Entity Gaming, which features two former members of the team.
