Official trailer for “Avatar: The Way of Water”: watch it stream here

Attention sci-fi fans, the first official teaser trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water is here. The trailer is about 90 seconds long and already shows the impressive underwater world of the film.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” will be released in German cinemas on December 14, 2022. James Cameron is directing and producing again. The cast includes Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis and Kate Winslet.

After 13 years, the sequel to “Avatar: Weg nach Pandora” starts in Germany. To build fans’ anticipation, Disney aired the first teaser trailer for the film ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ screening. It is now published online.

Fans can expect “epic saga” with four more parts

Avatar: The Way of Water is the first of four installments in James Cameron’s film series. During Disney’s presentation at CinemaCon last month, producer Jon Landau said, “One of the strengths of Jim Cameron’s scripts is the universal and relatable themes he builds into them.”

“Each of the four sequels will focus on the Sully family. Each story will stand on its own and come to its own conclusion,” Landau explained. There will be “a fulfilling conclusion to each film, but taken as a whole, the journey through all four films will create a larger epic saga.”

Even more realistic

James Cameron, currently in New Zealand to finalize the film, spoke about what fans can technically expect from Avatar: The Way of Water: The sequel will “push the boundaries even further, with high frame rate, high definition 3D and even more realistic visuals Effects. I wanted our return to Pandora to be very special. Every shot is designed for the largest screen, highest resolution and most realistic 3D available. I think we succeeded.”
