Harry Styles opened the 2026 BRIT Awards on Saturday with the live premiere of his new single “Aperture.” The singer was inspired by the movement-rich music video for the single. He began sitting on a stand, surrounded by dancers in black sunglasses and T-shirts with snail motifs.

The choreography was characterized by elaborate hand movements. SStyles himself, dressed in a shirt, tie and pleated trousers, led the choreography before getting up and setting the stage in motion.

During the pre-chorus a choir joined him. The dancers finally gathered at the center of the stage for the finale, surrounding him while waving their hands.

New album on the way

The performance was dedicated to his upcoming album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”, which will be released on March 6th. It was also his first live performance since the BRIT Awards 2023, when he performed “As It Was” from “Harry’s House”.

There is also an extensive tour on the program that includes residencies around the globe, starting on May 16th in Amsterdam. This also includes a 30-night residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden; Record demand for tickets prompted Styles to announce additional European shows.

But before that, Styles will take on a dual role on “Saturday Night Live” on March 14th – as host and musical guest.

“I ain’t got no more tricks up my sleeve,” sings Harry Styles in “Aperture,” but that’s hard to believe. The song itself is a turn toward pulsating dance music that feels both surprising and inevitable after the synths that crept in amid the ballads on 2022’s “Harry’s House.” Given his track record, it seems certain that the rest of “Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally,” out March 6, will be at least as fresh.
