The 1. FC Kaiserslautern struck the transfer market. With the Finn Naatan Skyttä, an offensive midfielder changes to the Betzenberg.
A month ago there were rumors about a possible transfer from Naatan Skyttä to the Palatinate, now it is fixed: The 23-year-old Finn changes from the French second division Usl Dunkerque to 1. FC Kaiserslautern. This gives FCK coach Torsten Lieberknecht a new option for filling the offensive midfield of the Red Devil.
“With him, we gain a technically strong, flexible and threatening offensive midfielder, who has already gained a lot of experience in an international floor at a young age. He has already demonstrated that he can prepare and score goals and score at his previous stations,” says FCK sports director Marcel Klos in an association’s assessment. Those responsible at the FCK are convinced that he can “make the game of the Palatinate more unpredictable and be a great asset to the team”.
Skyttä in the top ten most expensive access to the FCK
According to “Bild”, the transfer fee for the Finnish U21 international is 1.8 million euros, with bonuses the Summer could even increase to 2 million euros. This means that Skyttä is one of the ten most expensive entrances in FCK’s history. Ariel Borysiuk, who moved from Legia Warsaw to Kaiserslautern for 2 million euros at the end of January 2012, ranked ninth in the ranking of the most expensive access and could soon share this place with Skyttä through possible bonuses.
Skyttä himself is particularly looking forward to the fans on the Betzenberg. “I saw videos of the atmosphere, the stadium, that was incredibly impressive. In addition, there are the good conversations that I had with those responsible. I identify myself with the goals that the club has set. The FCK stands for tradition. I have the feeling that it is the right decision to take the next step here in my career,” Skyttä is quoted in the club’s message.
Naatan Skyttä comes in her luggage with titles
Although Naatan Skyttä only turned 23 in May this year, he has already left deep football traces. Last season, the offensive all-rounder played a total of 36 competitive games for Dunkerque, in which he scored eight goals and prepared five more. Skyttä can also detect ten missions in the highest French division Ligue 1 (for FC Toulouse) and has already been part of three title cadres: he won the French trophy, the Finnish trophy and became second division champion in France.
In the Finnish U21 national team, Skyttä has so far been 29 missions in which he scored twelve goals. He scored one of them at the U21 European Championship this summer against Denmark (2: 2). However, Finland left after the group phase. Now a new chapter for Naatan Skyttä – in the 2nd Bundesliga at the 1st FC Kaiserslautern.
