OFC not equal to Jong FC Volendam, AFC smells second division lead

In the second division OFC was again unable to break any pots. The newcomer from Oostzaan lost 2-0 on a visit to Jong FC Volendam. AFC continues the good form and approaches leader Quick Boys to a point. Koninklijke HFC remains stuck in the middle bracket after a hopeless defeat against Rijnsburgse Boys: 1-3.

In the opening phase, the home team had countless opportunities, but the sights of Joey Antonioli, Jordi Blom and Quincy Hoeve were not yet sharp. Blom was in Emmen for the first time in the selection of the first team yesterday. He saw Wim Jonk’s team draw 1-1 and started this afternoon at Jong Volendam in the base. The attacker crowned that with a goal after half an hour of play. Blom shot the ball into the far corner behind OFC goalkeeper Daniël Agyei.

The team of trainer Pieter Mulders was certainly not without a chance in Volendam and found the woodwork through Demio Walberg before the break. After the break, the visitors from Oostzaan were even the better team for some time, but were unable to express that in the score. At Jong FC Volendam, Calvin Twigt made minutes as a substitute for the first time after a long injury. He saw Milan de Haan double the lead and Jong FC Volendam secure the victory: 2-0.

Jong FC Volendam is free next weekend and the meeting with AFC will follow on October 30. There, former Volendammer Kevin Visser will meet at Sportpark Goed Enough. Due to the defeat, OFC remains at the bottom and Jong FC Volendam climbs to place fourteen.

AFC comes in 2-0 against Spakenburg – Pro Shots / Ron Baltus

Spakenburg – AFC

After a more difficult start to the season, AFC is in excellent form. On a visit to Spakenburg, the team from Amsterdam already took the lead after seven minutes via Raily Ignacio. The team of trainer Benno Nihom had little to fear for Spakenburg, who hardly got any chances.

The home team came out of the dressing room stronger and became dangerous a number of times via Mark Veenhoven and Vince Gino Dekker. AFC had a hard time, but just before the end Kevin Visser put an end to all uncertainty. The veteran put the 2-0 on the scoreboard and as a result, AFC continues to follow in the footsteps of leader Quick Boys. The team from Amsterdam follows just one point from the leader in the second division.

Royal HFC – Rijnsburg Boys

Koninklijke HFC is currently in the corner where the blows fall. The team of trainer Gertjan Tamerus already faced a 2-0 deficit against Rijnsburgse Boys after 22 minutes. At the Spanjaardslaan, Dani van der Mooi and Delano Asante scored for the visitors.

In the second half, Royal HFC was no match for the competitor in the middle of the second division. Furghill Zeldenrust made the third goal for Rijnsburgse Boys fifteen minutes before the end. Zakaria Eddahchouri still used a penalty for Royal HFC, but that was only for the statistics: 1-3.

Koninklijke HFC is therefore experiencing an unfortunate prelude to the cup match against Telstar. Coming Tuesday at 8 PM, both teams will meet in Haarlem.
