The drug lab in a business premises in Wormer that was dismantled yesterday was discovered after reports of odor nuisance. Large amounts of drugs were found in the building. So far no one has been arrested.
Both the police and the National Forensic Investigation were investigating a possible drug lab on Malerstraat yesterday afternoon.
Later that day, the police confirmed that it was indeed drugs. Due to the large quantities of hard drugs and the possible presence of hazardous substances, the fire brigade was called in.
The area was immediately cordoned off and surrounding buildings were also temporarily evacuated. Underneath was also an adjacent garage, according to the owner of that company. After the lab was dismantled and the drugs cleared, the cordon was lifted and the vacated premises released.
A witness informed NH Nieuws that people were mainly present at the building in the evening. The police have not made any arrests so far.
