A car drove into a ditch along the N247 in Broek in Waterland around a quarter to eleven on Wednesday evening. When officers arrived there was no one in the car.
According to bystanders, the police encountered major damage on the N247 between ‘t Schouw and Broek in Waterland. Three lampposts had been driven out of the ground and a little further on a car was lying in the ditch, with its nose in the ditch.
The police arrested someone in the village a little later for leaving the scene of the accident. Two other occupants were said to have run away. The police are still looking for that. It is unknown if the three people were injured.
