The fire broke out on the fourth floor of the senior center around 5:10 p.m. The residents were accommodated in a different location in the building.
According to the fire brigade, quite a bit of smoke was released during the fire. Several people were checked by ambulance personnel for smoke inhalation, but no one had to be taken to hospital.
The fire was soon extinguished. The affected homes have been ventilated by the fire brigade. A spokesperson for the fire brigade expects that all residents will be able to return to their homes this evening.
The police will not say whether the suspect is a resident of the retirement home.
