The game against Darmstadt 98 is developing into a thriller. The decision is made shortly before the end. In Elversberg, on the other hand, the spectators get a catch -up.
A very important victory for the 1st FC Nürnberg: In the traditional duel with Darmstadt 98, the “Club” won 1-0 (0-0) and pushed himself past the “Lilien” with 28 points in the table of the 2nd Bundesliga ( 25) in tenth. Tim Drexler met in the final phase for victory for the Franks (85th).
Darmstadt began in front of 25,968 spectators with a lot of possession and also hit Fraser Hornby early. Problem: Because of an offside position in the creation, the gate did not count. In the course of the first half, Kloses Elf took over the initiative. The 20-year-old Rafael Lubach, who replaced the stricken Jens Castrop in midfield, came to a promising conclusion. In added time, “Club” captain Robin Knoche then negligent in a duel with Hornby at his own penalty area. The ball turned past the FCN goal.
Annoying for guest coach Florian Kohfeldt was that he had to change twice until the 34th minute. Kai Klefisch and the ex-Nuremberg Fabian Nürnberger injured and could not continue playing.
In the second half, too, the Nuremberg did more aggressively. Few campaigns came from playmaker Julian Justvan, who did not get into play against last year’s club. The winning gate, however, initiated Justvan with the passport on flank giver Yilmaz. Darmstadt previously had an excellent header of Merville Papela (75th) after a corner.
The SV Elversberg played a comfortable 2-0 lead against the Karlsruher SC on Friday evening at 2-2 (1-0). Lukas Petkov (44th) and Carlo Sickinger (50th, foul femter) put the hosts in the lead, in a furious final phase the KSC still equalized by Marvin Wanitzek (75., 86.).
The game started with just a few dangerous penalty area on both sides. As if out of nowhere, Petkov scored shortly before the break for the SVE lead. Both teams came out of the cabin with significantly more momentum. First a shot from Karlsruhes Mikkel Kaufmann clapped to the Latte (48th), in return referee Florian Issue decided after a foul by Karlsruhes Marcel Beifus to Luca Schnellbacher on a penalty. Sickinger safely converted.
The home side stayed against the KSC on the trigger and had several good opportunities to 3: 0. But the precision was missing in the end of Schnellbacher (59.). The negligent exploitation of opportunities took revenge when Wanitzek laced the double pack.
