Last year, road users in Drenthe most often received a ticket at the speed camera along Rolderstraat (N857) near Borger. The pole resulted in 8,761 fines. This is evident from last year’s figures from the Ministry of Justice and Security.
In 2021, the speed camera at the Vaart in Assen was still the leader with 8,876. Last year there were 8,585 flashes there.
The ten fixed speed cameras in Drenthe flashed a total of 36,042 times last year. That is slightly less than in 2021, when 37,720 flashes were used. 35,158 drivers received a ticket for speeding, driving through a red traffic light led to a ticket 884 times.
Nationally, the speed cameras recorded 3,212,250 traffic violations. In 2021 there were 2,830,213.
