Involuntary psychiatric admissions, also known as “collocations,” have been on the rise for years. The number was 63 percent higher last year than 12 years ago, according to recent figures from umbrella organization Zorgnet-Icuro, which VRT NWS reports. The rising trend is most noticeable in the province of Antwerp. Children and young people are also increasingly being forcibly admitted.
